Pre-Menstrual Syndrome

It is a condition that occurs just before the onset of a woman’s menstrual cycle. It affects a woman’s emotions, physical health, and behaviour during certain days of the menstrual cycle.
PMS starts 5-11 days before the menstrual cycle and goes away when the menses starts.

What causes it?
The actual cause is unknown, however the fluctuating levels of hormones, i.e., estrogen and progesterone that occur in preparation for menstruation is regarded as a cause.

Pain and bloating of abdomen.
Sore breasts.
Food cravings.
Depression and anxiety.
