Ganglions are cysts or lumps formed within the hands or wrist, in areas adjacent to joints. The ganglion cyst often resembles a water balloon on a stalk, and is filled with clear fluid or gel.

What causes it?
The cause of Ganglion cysts are unknown, however the cysts may form in the presence of joint or tendon irritation or mechanical changes.

Swelling around the area of the cyst.
Pain which is non-stop by movement or motion of that particular joint
